History

It began in spring of nineteen ninety-four.

Two friends observed the segregation of different groups on the San Diego State University campus.  Their idea was to unite the student body's universalities so they decided to start an organization like no other on the university campus.  They decided to create a fraternal association stressing Academics, Brotherhood, Leadership, and the pursuit of Multicultural Unity for university campuses across the nation.

The goal was to create leaders for the future; the types of leaders who realize you must work within the community in order to enhance humanity, the types of leaders who would work to breakdown barriers of any kind that confine this campus and the nation from being united.

The concept was taken to the head of Greek life, Doug Case, who supported the idea and believed that others would too.  Thus on 22nd day of March Gamma Phi Epsilon was born.  The ten founding fathers accepted the challenges that lie before them and set out to fulfill their dreams.
