Professional Organization

The mission of the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. (CFP Board) is to help people benefit from competent, professional and ethical financial planning.



The National Association of Personal Financial Advisors is the nation’s leading organization of Fee-Only comprehensive financial planning professionals.


The Financial Planning Association of San Diego is a professional organization of more than 400 financial planning professionals in San Diego County. We are part of a nationwide network of local chapters forming the backbone of the FPA. The FPA of San Diego promotes the advancement of knowledge in financial planning, supporting programs and projects that enable members to better serve their clients.


The Financial Analysts Society of of San Diego, Inc., was founded in 1962 to promote a high standard of ethics and sound professional standards of investment management and research, and to enhance professional knowledge and skills.


FPA is the organization that helps practitioners succeed as financial planners. We cultivate the body of knowledge for financial planning, share best practices and encourage professional development. FPA provides opportunities for members to develop leadership skills to advance their personal and professional goals. We recognize leaders in the financial planning profession.
