Thank you for visiting SDSU's Center for Latin America Studies 'Summer Oaxaca Programs' website. This site is dedicated to providing a varity of information for interested students and faculty, sharing research outcomes, and portraying the experience of travelling, living, and studying in Oaxaca, Mexico.
University students from SDSU and around the country are brought together through the Center for Latin American Studies at San Diego State University to explore the culture and language of this unique region in Mexico.
SDSU's Summer Oaxaca Programs offers 3 classes to university students:
- Anthropology Field Methods 520 taught by Professor Ramona Perez
- Mixtec Language Classes
- Zapotec Language Classes
All of the classes promote hands on learning and each program provides you with enough freedom to experience Oaxaca the way you are most comfortable. If you are interested is studying spanish while enrolled in one of these courses we can reccomend to you a private spanish school that past students have attended.
