The application period for the class beginning January 2009 is from August 1, 2008 to September 30, 2008. Please note the program begins in the Spring semester and we do not currently offer a traditional Fall semester entry to the program. Supporting documents may be submitted after your application but all documents must be received on or before September 30 in order for the application to be considered for Spring 2009. An official GMAT score report is the only document that may be submitted after the deadline, but the test must be taken prior to October 15, 2008. International applicants are highly encouraged to complete and submit all application materials by September 15, 2008. The following are required steps for completing the application:

Applicants need to submit a California State University Application for Graduate Admission along with the nonrefundable graduate application fee of $55 online at www.csumentor.edu. Payment of the application fee is by credit card or check/money order. Using the credit card method will expedite the processing of your application. SDSU must receive payment before your application will be reviewed. The application fee is nonrefundable and may not be transferred to another term. When completing the application, be sure to give your full legal name and avoid abbreviations.
Under "Major/Program Objective" select Business Administration: Sports Business Management (MBA) – External Degree. The term "external degree" designates that the Sports MBA program is a self-support program on a special sessions schedule.
The Statement of Purpose portion of the online application will be carefully reviewed as it is a required element of the Sports MBA application process. This statement should be approximately 500 words in length (or 2 pages, double spaced) and should include a description of your long and short-term career goals, and the ways in which you believe an MBA degree will help you to achieve them.
