SAN DIEGO (February 27, 2008) - The College of Business Administration at San Diego State University (SDSU) announced today that they will offer a new collaborative graduate degree in Marketing and Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) with University of Malta (UM) in Valetta, Malta. The program will commence in the fall of 2008.
The dual program has been created to respond to contemporary issues facing businesses within the global marketplace. It is designed to help students and managers understand the rapidly evolving world of marketing communications and to learn how various IMC tools can be combined most effectively to meet organizational needs.
The graduate degree is envisioned to be a stand alone program beyond the regular degree with the combined program offerings of the SDSU College of Business and the UM Center for Communication Technology. All classes will be taught in Malta, with approximately half the classes taught by SDSU faculty members.
The one-year program offers two graduate degrees upon completion: a Master of Science in Business Administration/Marketing from SDSU and a Master of Arts in Integrated Marketing Communications from UM.
“IMC degrees represent a new trend among schools of business and communications in the United States and Europe,” said Dean Gail Naughton of SDSU’s College of Business Administration. “We are excited SDSU will be a part of this innovative program that provides students with hands-on international marketing expertise.”
