SDSU Takes Entrepreneur Expertise to India

Dr. Gail Naughton, dean of the College of Business Administration and Carmen Bianchi, director of SDSU’s Entrepreneurial Management Center (EMC) recently went to Hyderabad, India where they visited the highly regarded Indian School of Business and participated in inauguration ceremonies for the entrepreneurship program at the University of Hyderabad.
While in Hyderabad, Naughton and Bianchi delivered presentations at the “Family Managed Businesses: Challenges and Opportunities,” which was attended primarily by family entrepreneurs and professors from U of H.
Naughton and Bianchi next traveled to Coimbatore, India where they delivered presentations at the “Managing Family Businesses: Issues in Entrepreneurship” forum. The forum was co-hosted by the GRG School of Management Studies in Coimbatore and SDSU’s EMC.
Dean Naughton also traveled to Mumbai to present at an accreditation meeting for all the deans from Indian business schools who are interested in pursuing one of the three business accreditations. Naughton presented on “Best practices for AACSB accreditation” along with Neal Mero from the Association to Advance Collegiate School of Business (AACSB).
