Evangelical Christianity has had a major impact on politics, morals, personal behavior, law, etc. in the US and thus the world for the past 30 years. It is based on a singular interpretation of one document: the Bible. But just what is the Bible? And are evangelicals, or fundamentalists, correct in their interpretation? Fundamentalists assert it is the infallible, inerrant and inspired Word of God. According to this group, any other interpretation is wrong and blasphemous.
Millions of people around the world are taught such a strict, literal, absolutistic interpretation, but can this belief be justified? Is there sufficient evidence to support such claims, or are there other, more well-rounded ways of seeing this document? This website is meant to help and encourage those who are seeking answers to questions that disturb them about the claims of Biblical inspiration, inerrancy and infallibility.
