The Baseline Access, Training and Support (BATS) program was mandated by the Chancellor's Office to ensure that CSU students learn basic or baseline computer skills. The baseline computer knowledge that a CSU student should have is constantly evolving due to technological changes and advances.

The ITS-BATS group is always refining and adding to the impressive assortment of computer software workshops. Hands-on workshops are offered on the PC and Mac operating systems to address the needs of first-time computer users up to advanced users. Students who take these workshops will be able to apply their acquired skills and knowledge throughout their academic career and beyond.

In the ITS-BATS workshops, students learn how to efficiently create resumes, reports, spreadsheets, databases, electronic presentations, computer graphics, web pages, web forms, and other electronic documents for their class projects and professional pursuits. The best deal of the BATS program is that all the workshops are FREE to all SDSU students. Students seeking additional help may contact the Student Computing Center in Love Library at (619) 594-3189.
